Okuvaryum
Digital Reading Culture at an Early Age
At the foundation of sustainable academic success and strong communication ability lies the reading habit acquired at an early age. As TAK Schools Beylikdüzü Campus, we use the Okuvaryum digital education platform to support the comprehension and interpretation skills of our 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th-grade primary school students. This platform, conducted in coordination with our classroom teachers, consists of audio Turkish digital stories and interactive study materials prepared specifically for the age groups of our students. Our students learn to use digital tools, which are the requirements of the age, not merely as an entertainment tool, but as a library that improves them.
Pedagogical Suitability and Principle of Suitability for the Child
Providing reliable and accurate resources to our students among the piles of content in the digital world is our top priority. All digital stories and materials on the Okuvaryum platform are prepared by passing through pedagogical filters entirely in line with the principle of “suitability for the child”. These safe contents, appealing to the developmental levels, mental capacities, and emotional worlds of our young readers aged 4-10, contribute to their aesthetic visions while feeding their imaginations.
Internalization of Reading and Permanent Success
The principle of learning with comprehension and enjoyment, which is at the center of our education philosophy, is reflected in the reading adventure with Okuvaryum. Thanks to this platform, our students in the preschool and primary school period internalize reading as a fun process they participate in voluntarily, rather than seeing it as a boring task or obligation. This digital experience, which allows the reading culture to be established fundamentally and solidly, offers a direct positive contribution to our students’ reading comprehension, reasoning, and analytical thinking speeds in the subsequent educational stages.
